Signal Hill is supporting the CISO organization within a large U.S. Government customer, helping to protect US critical infrastructure. We are seeking a motivated, creative problem-solver to work within the Engineering group as a Senior Forescout Engineer. Ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience integrating Forescout CounterACT with Splunk.
Compensation: $130,000-$180,000 annual salary, health insurance, 401k with company match, Federal holidays, paid time off, paid training.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Senior Forescout Engineer responsible for building and maintaining NAI and NAC controls for very large, heterogeneous network
- Build and continually refine dashboards in Splunk as needed to track and manage all network assets
- Work cooperatively across IT and CISO organizations to ensure that ForeScout platform is optimized to provide value to business stakeholders
- Design and implement technical solutions to business requirements to assist the organization in achieving business, technical, and security related goals
- Raise issues, risks, or decisions to product owners and management; propose solutions and help communicate impacts to overall cyber risk
Required skills and qualifications
- Must be able to meet requirements for Public Trust clearance prior to employment
- 5+ years of hands-on IT/cybersecurity engineering experience
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with ForeScout CounterACT
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk (data ingest, writing SPL searches, content development)
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking technologies (i.e. OSI model, protocols, NAI and NAC methods)
- Working knowledge of common cyber attack techniques and methods for preventing and detecting them
- Ability to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Any ForeScout certification (FSCA, FSCP, FSCE, FSCS)
- Other security certifications (CISSP, CCIE, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH)
- Strong presentation and written communication skills – Technical writing, diagramming or PPT skills helpful
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related technical field is strongly desired
